Kanye and the great Gatsby have so much in common my essay is on how the great Gatsby is similar. The book is very similar to the movie in many different ways. The song power by Kanye west ties in the books and the movie quite well. With the main idea being that one man has all this power but in the end he will end up with nothing. With Gatsby and Kanye always talking about how much power they have and how much money. All of this ties together in a very interesting way. So in the song power Kanye always seem to reference time and clocks in the book Gatsby wishes he could reverse time to when daisy was with him. He in the book grabbed a clock and broke it because he wanted to stop time. Kanye is getting to that point where he is worried about time like Gatsby. He is also saying that all the people that have doubted him have made him stronger and they have given him all of this
