It is similar to ethics of care, because in caring for an individual, we should judge our actions upon the motivation of the action. For example, if an individual was taking care of his wealthy grandpa, because he would inherit the money when the grandpa dies, it would be an bad motivation, and immoral for this person to only take care of the grandpa for his money.
