Kansas City Royals Research Paper

Decent Essays
The Indians played against the Royals on September fifteenth. The Indians were on a twenty two game winning streak before the end of Friday night’s home game at Progressive Field.

The baseball club had been on a winning streak since August twenty fourth. This long period of victories (twenty two wins) even broke the record for most consecutive wins in the American League. The team was even close to the record for most repeated wins which is held by the New York Giants (26 wins). The club is 91-57 with several games remaining throughout September.

The Kansas City Royals came to Cleveland for a four game series but dropped the first game to the Indians with a score of 3-2. The Royals had another shot at the streaking Indians the next day.

The Royals were then able to respond with a run in the top of the second inning. The teams bantered with one another until the Royals were able to take a 4-3 lead in the top of the sixth on Lorenzo Cain’s single.
