In the following sentence, “He danced, but his… That was terrible… the old man had gotten himself two lumps instead of one.” This old man meant to be negative light because he was envy of other people. He is not happy with his own appearance and seeking for better, but due to his jealousness his got himself in failure. On the other hand, the other old man meant to be positive because he did not ask for return or seeking for benefits. He does what he can to make people happy. I think this tale tried to convey the messages to audience that is content with what you have and who you are. This tale also discusses the importance of human morality.
