Kamehameha was the first person to rule all Hawaiian islands,Kamehameha was a strong warrior and has a lot of mana. He gained strong foreigners that taught Kamehameha's men how to use guns and cannons. He killed Keoua and a lot of other strong ali’s to be the first king of Hawaii. He is an effective leader because he was smart, cared about his people, and he was good with trade. Kamehameha was an effective leader because he was a smart person. Kamehameha is a smart person because he assigned governors to each island. John Young and Keeaumoku were some of Kamehameha's governors for some of the islands. When Kamehameha consulted John Young that was a good thing because John Young was a foreigner and he new the value of the items that were being traded such as horses, knives, and etc. This was also good because they gained new resources to use. Kamehameha was an effective leader because he cared about his people. He created the law of the splintered paddle. The law of the splintered people was created to keep the people of Hawaii safe and if other people tried to rod or kill someone the will be put to death. This example changed after unification.This was good because it protected the people of Hawaii and all the people that tried to rob or kill someone they would be killed.
