4.2.28. Savings Pattern of the Respondents
Savings is the portion of income not spent on current expenditures. Because a person does not know what will happen in the future, money should be saved to pay for unexpected events or emergencies. An individual’s car may breakdown, their dishwasher could begin to leak, or a medical emergency could occur. Without savings, unexpected events can become large financial burdens. In this respect the tribes in Kalvarayan Hills are getting financial assistance in the form of agricultural loan, educational loan and loan for poultry and livestock. The numbers of respondents who are getting various types of loan from the cooperative banks and nationalized commercial banks in the study area are presented in the Table given
