There are many sites in the world that depend on water. For example Kaloko Honokohau Historic Park. The park was established in 1978 to teach people about culture of past hawaii and activities. In the Honokohau area, they are dependent on water, because here in Kona, we have a very warm climate and we lose a lot of water to evaporation. In Kaloko Honokohau National Park, there are historic fish ponds, for example, and they keep up and maintain the ponds. If any pollution comes into these historic ponds, it will kill the fish and ruin these beautiful historic landmarks we have on the Big Island.
