Society is now trying to be more opened to LGBTs. Although, she believes there are a lot of discrimination between LGBTs because it’s not “normal” for people to love that way. The media shows different citizens overcoming the hatred and discrimination towards their LGBT. For example, on YouTube there are gays/lesbians explaining their process of coming out to the world. Also, there are news articles about guys or girls turning trans. This helps her stay more positive about the situation. Kalli’s personal experiences has shaped her identity in so many different ways. She played sports throughout her life. Sports has taught her the definition of teamwork and hard work. Also, sports has taught her to keep pushing to her goal and never give it. Recently, college has taught Kalli how to be more outgoing and opened to others. College has also changed her perspective on life. She saids that meeting and seeing people that have less than her has made her a more humble person.
