How the Kalashnikov rifle changed the world history during the 20th century
The most popular weapon in the world, originated in The Soviet Union in 1947, shortly after the second World War. It was created to supply the Communist army and it was widely spread throughout armed forces around the world.
In the cold war, it was used principally supply communist revolutions around the world, such as in North Vietnam, North Korea and in many African countries. The rifle was cheap, reliable and easy to maintain, making it prone to rebellion that were not well financed. One of the most notorious usage of the AK-47 was in the Vietnam war, where the North Vietnamese army was supplies with the AK-47 due to its alignment with the Soviet Union.
