Why cannot we Pakistanis sort out an issue within a shorter span of time and not drag it for years and years? Kalabagh dam undoubtedly is the one of the best examples that can be quoted. Its design was approved back in 1984 and since the moment it was decided that it should be built there have been only problems, riots and strikes. Like many other issues the Kalabagh dam issue has also been divided into two opposing schools of thoughts. Every school of thought is busy in backing up their arguments with different facts and figures, some of which are actually true and some are just “believed” to be true to date. This statement is just said some time back so might be motivating for a person not knowing the entire history and background of kalabagh dam. As far as I am concerned what I know for sure is that this is not happening anywhere soon.
