Kaine's Settings

Kaine is taking over the VirtNet, and that is not a good thing. He is using his gaming skills to hack into other gamer’s minds, and making them die in the game. He is known as a cyber terrorist, and won’t stop until he gets what he wants. Michael gets chosen to try and take down the insuperable Kaine. Michael gets chosen because of his excellent coding and hacking skills. He is currently trying to find where Kaine is located. The three most important settings are the alley, the café, and Michaels room.

To begin, the first setting in my story is the alley. The alley is where Michael was abducted by the VNS. The VNS abducted him because they want his help tracking down Kaine. Kaine is a very contentious person, so they need help tracking

The café is where Michael and his friends Sarah and Bryson go to hangout in the virtual world. Sarah has a blithe attitude while Bryson is more uptight. Michael and his friends have not met in real life, but they play the game together all the time. Michael says to his friends, “Because that’s what humans do. They meet each other and shake real hands” (Dashner 15). This shows how Michael wants to meet his friends. Sarah and Bryson are always making up excuses to just play the game and hangout at the café, but Michael always invites them to his home. Michael convinces them that if they bring Kaine to justice, than they will have to meet in person at the café near his house. Also, the café is where they have their group meetings. At the café Michael told his friends about how he got kidnapped, and that he was told they needed to take down Kaine. Overall, the café is a big part of the story, and I am sure there will be plenty of important discussion to …show more content…
He has his sensitivity turned up to realistic in the game, so whenever he gets hit he feels it. This means that whenever he has to fight somebody in the game he feels the pain in real life. Michael has spent many days lying in his bed because he was so hurt to move, but the worst pain came from Kaine. Kaine shined a bright light in Michael’s face which caused him to go temporarily blind, and have extreme migraines for a week. Throughout this time he gained up the strength and the courage to continue fighting Kaine. After he regained strength to move around, Michael said to his friends, “I’m still feeling the pain, but I can finally move around without my head hurting. I was worried that thing had done permanent damage to me” (Dashner 203). This shows how Michael wants to continue to fight against Kaine, and bring him to justice. Michael is very lucky that the light didn’t do permanent damage to him, but he is not taking it for
