Kaepernick’s form of social protest is appropriate because his protest is nonviolent. Kaepernick’s form of social protest is kneeling during the national anthem with his head down. His peaceful protest has not hurt anybody, but rather spread awareness throughout the United States, on the issue of police killing unarmed black people. Many other athletes have joined in his protests, such as athletes on high school teams, college teams, and even professional teams.
