Her parents should have allowed the surgery because her life was not productive. She wasn’t happy with how she was living. She could barely go out and do anything. Kaci was having 100 seizures a day and because of all the seizures it left her body unavailing. It also made it hard for her to speak to those around her. The type of seizures she was having held her back from living life the way she wanted, the seizures almost made her body paralyzed. Kaci wanted the surgery because she wanted to live a normal and happy life. She didn’t want the seizures anymore, she didn’t want to be in a wheel chair anymore. The things Kaci wanted to do was, she wanted to hang out with friends, cook, drive, and communicate with other teenagers her age. The doctors had told Kaci’s parents that there’s a risk that she won’t pull through. Because of the type of surgery, they would be doing. Kaci was a little scared so she was preparing for it, and you might be asking questions like “How do you get ready for an operation like this”? You just rest. They took her back into the room and the parents waited 12 hours. When 12 hours past they brought the parents to Kaci. Kaci was in good condition just maybe a little tired because of the surgery. She pulled through and her parents couldn’t have been happier. Since then Kaci has been leading a normal life. She’s now starting to go out with friends, cook, taking speech therapy, and learning how to drive. She feels very good about
