KPCB has not hired new people over the past few years. Low flow of new employees affect the work environment because lack of fresh minds restrict an organization to develop internal and external goals. Therefore, KPCB faces a challenge to build an image that they are doing better to increase competitive advantage (Skeet, 2015).
Lack of marketing (Image of non-tolerant environment). The case of Mrs. Pao affected the KPCB’s image and presented KPCB as a non-tolerant environment firm in terms of gender, race, and cultural background. Also, the low number of women in IT tech industry affected KPCB as well. The overall low number of women in STEM field is correlated to the number of women in tech industry which KPCB is involved with as well. So, a lack of marketing in STEM field affects the IT tech industry as well as all firms/companies who work directly in this field.
