An estimated 250,000 youth are tried, sentenced, or incarcerated as adults every year across the United States. These minors are being stuck into over crowded prisons with grown men every year and destined to live, eat, and sleep with men or women. So the question remains “Should juveniles be tried as adults and sentenced to life in prison?”. In my opinion juveniles should not be sentenced in adult courts depending on the type of crime they have committed and if they have the chance to rehabilitate. In the article “Juveniles don't deserve life sentences” by Gail Garinger she states that juveniles should not be sentenced to life.
