Juvenile Reform Case Study

Due to Connecticut lack of strong reform for rehabilitative, their juvenile system didn’t not show good progress. Change over the decade, didn’t not come until they improve the condition of incarceration, confinement and better treatment it showed a great reduction in crime and youth delinquency. These new reform policies are showed the juvenile system did show some improvement. The sign of improvement showed some reformer that the juvenile system could improve just by simplifying the rules and regulation.

Their policy is to offer a better situation at the same time treat the offender. Also to allow them the opportunities to change within them in order to stay positive and try to maintain a better environment. To help them understand their effort to not pass punishment, but to understand why did they commit the crime and how can they help them. Similarly, interventionist rational, would be treated differently because, the offender would be in the system, so their main focus would be try to rehabilitee in a way that would not affect their progress in any way. In the decade before, juvenile didn’t have right in the eye of the law. Their crime was seen as harsh and many believed that punishment was the right thing to do. But the interventionist showed that punishment should come with treatment and have a positive result on the offender. The age limit has allowed many juvenile to have the opportunity to be rehabilitee. The fact that the system seen the young offender and realize the potential that they could have show a good sign that system is working to given a fair chance to them. I believe the interventionist rational accomplish a great idea to allow the offender a chance to make a life chose that could affect their future. For instance, a child as young as 14 could be placed in jail, but the imprisonment isn’t doing anything to help divert his delinquency, so to reform that he has a better change of rehabilitation, they change him as a juvenile. Additionally the diversionary rational could also explain this policy because without this program, this young offender wouldn’t have a place to go. These program is what is allowing them to be rehabilitated and ensure that the make better choices.
