Crime and Juveniles/Adolescents in the United States Crime, this is a dangerous word heard in our everyday lives. Crime has prevailed in our day to day society that it has even become a significant part of the smooth running of society. Crime ranges from theft to murder. Criminal offenders range from different ages, from a child down to an old person. Children are sometimes known tend criminal offenders and have been sentenced sometimes to juvenile delinquency reformatories or adult prisons with adult sentencing. Juveniles that face trial and sentencing in adult court has been a concern for some researchers and is going to be addressed in this research. (Shust ,2014: 686) .Therefore, we can see a lot of reasons why Juveniles should not be tried in adult court because they are underdeveloped and lack the rationale to take responsible decisions but unfortunately they are still tried in adult courts and are still given adult sentencing, why is that so. Other research questions that I want to look at are: research has found out that a child turn out to be a criminal or incarcerated if their parent has been incarcerated, why is that so. Also does race play a role when juveniles are sentenced in adult court as it applies to adult? Thirdly would young adolescents under that age of 25 be considered as not being fully developed and lack maturity as juveniles and therefore should be seen as non-culpable. Lastly does putting a child in adult prison help the child or destroys them
