in vain and become futile. He was one of such ‘people’, about which Hon’ble former Justice H. R. Khanna has quoted in one of his books that: If the Indian Constitution is our heritage bequeathed to us by our founding fathers, no less are we, the people of India, the trustees and custodians of the values which pulsate within its provisions! A Constitution is not a parchment of paper, it is a way of life and has to be lived up to.8 He was one such judge who truly acted as a trustee and a custodian of the very essence of the provisions of the fundamental rights. He is one person who has considered the Constitution as a way of life and has eternalized the very deep-rooted theme of it i.e. the social justice.
