Justice and fairness come in many different forms, but one that is more likely to stand out today is racism. While black people are more likely to be convicted of a crime than a white person, racism in modern day society is still as a problem as it was in the 1930’s because white and black people are still separated, white people have more freedom and can do more things, and black people are still looked down upon.
There are many problems in today's world, and racism being a main one, but one thing that stands out in racism is how white and black people are seemingly separated. Churches for instance, it is very hard for some blacks to attend a white church because many whites have the privilege to ignore issues that haunt and hurt black people, issues that black people cannot ignore. On Sundays blacks try to attend churches where the majority of the members and the leadership are woefully undisciplined on issues that shape black experiences, black fears, and black families. Blacks say that whites don't want to know what it feels like to be black while worshiping. Some white churches say that they are a safe place for the blacks, but the black people disagree, saying that there is no space there for them to freely state their issues and fears that affect them. In another article it states that whites are more likely to be hired than blacks by 72.2% and whites at 100% leaving the majority of blacks unemployed.
