No matter what ends up going on in my life I always look back onto this quote. The power that words have the possibility have can be life changing.

One day when we were at his hair station, I saw a paper sticking out of his schedules. I picked it up and it ended up being something he wrote just a few days before he passed away. The quote read “Lots of things happen in this world that we can't understand or

“Throw me to the wolves and I will return leading the pack” Unknown I can relate to this quote because it’s just like when someone is being mean to you, and about that you learn something that you are much strong then they say you aren't, but when they come back to say something you are much stronger and you can handle them. Also why I chose this quote because it’s like you are proving someone wrong like you can do it when someone is saying you can’t do it. Another reason why I chose this quote is because it is worded very nicely and it gives the meaning of what it means away when you understand the concept if this quote. I think this quote means that you can handle…

Quotes that resonate with me are ones that are powerful and really make me think. When Maria Teresa is young, she writes in her little book, “Minerva says a soul is like a deep longing in you that you can never fill up, but you try. This is why there are stirring poems and brave heroes who die for what is right” (3,31). In this quote she is saying how you can always reach your goals and do something good, but there will always be something better. This resonates with me, because no matter what I do I always feel like I need to do more.…

I happened to be around eleven or twelve years old when my dad told me that he decided that he wanted to get a divorce with my mom. At the time that age can be key because it was not super young nor super old. The day he told me the news I felt my heart break, the silence was so quiet you could hear a feather hit the ground. I felt so much emotional pain that I could not even bring tears to my eyes. It was such a sad moment in my life because I did not see it happening to me or my family.…

My dad died unexpectedly from cardiac arrhythmia when I was 14 years old. This phrase has become my “go-to line” when people ask what happened. For them, it gives them all the information they need. However, it holds a different meaning for me, it holds how I felt when he died. Losing my father at such a young age changed quite a few social aspects of myself.…

I lost my dad on a Thursday, early in the morning, on February 26, 2004, two months before my fifth birthday. We received a phone call that had my mom devastated. I was too young to know what a loss in the family is at that moment, but I knew something was wrong. That day was so vivid, I remember there was so much crying and people hugging each other like their life depended on it. Many people were coming in and out of the big bright white front door every second.…
