A similar situation happened in her hometown, but I was a young man who’s family was in a tragic accident, leaving him the only survivor. She writes about how the community comes together to help raise this young man. I really enjoyed this book and the fact that in since it was based on a true story. The book was also showing how many sacrifices parents do for their children that we may never know about. In the book Mia’s parents were rock stars. Her dad played in a band and her mother followed her father everywhere on this tours. Mia’s father decided to give up his passion for music when his wife became pregnant with their second child he chose to take on a new career as a high school English teacher to be able to raise his family in a normal home set. When he later finds about Mia’s passion for the cello he decided to sell his drum set to buy Mia’s her very own cello. “You can have your wishes, your plans, but at the end of the day, it 's out of your control.”(Forman 2) While reading the book it was a little confusing do to the fact that it was going back and forth between past and present times. Other than that I would recommend this story to anyone who likes these kinds of book. I already started reading the second book called where she
