One of the achievements of the Roman empire was the creation of law code called the jus civile. During the dictatorship of Julius Caesar, a “unified code of civil law” was created. This law code served as a model for future governments and replaced the Twelve Tables which was also innovative because it explained that a person was innocent until proven guilty. Another achievement of the Romans was in architecture. Romans invented concrete and thus made huge advancements in building things such as bridges, roads and aqueducts. In fact, aqueducts were one of the greatest feats of Roman engineering.
