LOG 1: I am the captain Edge Johnson today is Wednesday December 28, 3999 and I have been selected for expedition unknown 302 and I am recording these logs every day for the addition of the public access. Approximately 15 days ago a signal was received from just beyond the ort cloud that could lead to the discovery other intelligent life and could be very promising. Well, the other 301 expeditions also could have lead the discovery other intelligent life and appeared very promising but who knows. There have been recent budget cuts to the program because interest is being lost due to nothing being found. Because of these cuts I am the first person to take on a solo mission. I am in Earth’s orbit beginning the slingshot to Jupiter

All my ancestors before me were explorers of some sort. Most of them explored the Ocean and the ancient cities that found 150 miles under the Earth but every inch of the ocean had been scoured and the cities had nothing left to tell when I was born. The idea of aliens potentially taking me to another planet felt like my calling. I was lucky to get this job with so many other people applying due to everything on Earth being fully scanned. END TRANSMISSION…
LOG 3: Well I’ve made it to Jupiter and all the preparations have been made for the jump and there is nothing to do but wait. I didn’t expect to get lonely on this trip. I thought the trill of the adventure would be enough to entertain me. However, something about this feels empty because of not sharing the experience with another. Oh well the jump jet pilots itself so now I will sleep until alarms start going off like crazy and I can actually have something to do. END TTANSMISSION…
LOG 4: The Jump Jet has done its job and is recharging by the inner edge of the cloud and it is now up to me to spend the rest of the day exploring the signal area. I have absolutely no clue what is about to happen next but I can hope for the

11:00 am I wake up to a perfectly clean room with a perfect breakfast: sausage, pancakes, bacon, and cinnamon rolls all sitting right next to my bed. I eat my breakfast and get ready for the day. I go downstairs to see my friends Austen, Zach, and Elias down there holding four tickets to the Super Bowl game tonight and a jet sitting outside in the field. I had slept in a little past what we had planned on leaving by but it didn’t matter too much we still had plenty of time to do what we wanted to.…

Initially, despite some early logistical problems, the British forces were in good condition and by 30 June occupied the undefended Fort Crown Point. As he had planned, General Burgoyne acquired approximately 500 indians en route to provide scouting and intelligence functions within his expedition. On 2 July, his army began efforts to overtake Fort Ticonderoga, held by a small garrison under the command of General Arthur St. Clair. He was ordered by General Philip Schuyler to hold as long as possible, but the British quickly took the advantage and by 6 July General St. Clair had ordered a complete withdrawal. General Burgoyne’s troops pursued the retreating army, and several small battles ensued over the following days, including the Battle of Hubbardton and Battle of Fort Anne.…

The Discovery Corps Expedition was well worth the time and money the United States government has put into it. On this journey, we learned a lot about what was on the other side of our continent. Without this journey, we would have been living over on the eastern side of the country not knowing what was out to our west. Sure, $15,000,000 sounds like a lot for us to pay for something that we do not know what is, but I believe that that is a small price to pay for the information that we have learned about the rest of our continent. This purchase bought us about 800,000 square miles of new land.…

One painting that really caught my eye is the painting Jupiter and Thetis by Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres (Getlein, 2016). This painting was inspired from Homer’s Iliad, “The Greek epic of the Trojan War (Getlein, 2016).” Without knowing what it really means you can tell more or less what is happening based off of the artists creativity. From first sight, you can see A man sitting in a throne which depicts royalty.…
