Personal Narrative Essay: My Most Powerful Team

Junior year was an exciting year. I was no longer a baby under classman, and I had finally graduated into being an upper classman. Softball had a different feeling this year. I still loved playing and my teammates, but some of my teammates did not. Most of the ones that were ready for the season to be over were seniors. This meant the juniors really had to step it up. We never truly came together as one unit. We still had a winning season, and even hosted the region tournament. Region tournament really began to show how the bad attitudes were affecting our team. We easily beat Manchester first in three innings, but the second game was a very different story. There’s no way of denying that Heard County is an exceptionally good team, but they also have their weaknesses. In the region championship game, they found every weakness we had. They especially hit our number one weakness which was our attitude. It was obvious that the few weak minded links on the team were holding us back. Their lackadaisical mind set was making the rest of the team fall apart. We were ultimately run ruled by a team we had just beaten a few weeks before. I have grown so much since my first day at Bremen High School. I have gained new friends, and created life- long friendships. I have been pushed in every aspect, from softball to academics; each area has made me a better person. I have learned that no matter what I want in life; I can achieve it through hard work and dedication. This chapter in my life has flown by way faster than I ever thought it would. As much as I hate to end this chapter, I know I am more than ready for future. I can never thank Bremen High School enough for the lessons I have learned, friendships I have made, and goals this school has allowed me to accomplish. I will be forever proud and thankful to be a blue
