In the following years five more family members died while I was in high school. My two great grandmothers passed away within weeks of each other, my Papa (cousin’s grandfather) passed a few months later, my father passed away in June of 2014, and my Papa (father’s father) died in August of 2015. My father’s death at the end of tenth grade was sudden but, not completely unexpected because of his history of alcohol abuse. Despite the many mixed emotions that I was going through, I still went to school the day after he passed away because I knew that studying, and preparing for my finals was important to being successful in my life. Even with everything that happened I still managed to do very well in all of my classes, finals and even in my…
Category #1, graduate high school: The objective is fairly simple, pass all classes and then a high schooler receives his or her diploma. The way that society works within high schools is much different than the objective. The specific process that administrators require students to do in high school are much more than of what many high schoolers can handle. Administrators require unnecessary information for students to learn which causes stress, headaches, and sleepless nights. The side effects of all of the unnecessary knowledge results in health complications.…

Senior Year Finally Here… By Samantha Hopper Senior year, I have been waiting my whole life for this time and I thought would never come. Unconventional from most, I have been told what to do and going to school with my fellow classmates since we were four, and now we are supposed to be capable to decide what we want to do with rest of our lives. Senior year is an emotional year, with a lot of “stay in touch”-s and saying goodbye to a lot of things that we found most comforting. When I think of senior year, my heart immediately aches and the anxious feeling of the unknown where my life will steer me next sets in. But then I remember, it is only the beginning.…
Then there is my first year of highschool as a freshmen. During this whole year, I was naive and utterly stupid. I thought I could become some professional e-sports player and could impress people with my passion for anime. I was also extremely overweight and hideous so there was that. This was also the year that the friends I made in middle school left me one by one because of one idiot’s opinion of me.…
Senior year, freshman year of college, I never thought the day would come for me to write a letter that can help determine my future. I am a sixteen year old senior and come from a single parented family of five, and I have done my best to keep busy and find myself in such a full home. My overall dream job is to become a sports analyst for the NBA. I found my love and passion for basketball my freshman year in high school. On September 6, I looked at the mirror and marveled upon my transformation. Age has truly done wonders to my physical appearance. I’ve grown from a chubby, messy haired, and pimple faced eighth grade student into a slim, well groomed, and clean cut young man. Additionally, I pondered upon my intellectual, emotional, and social development. As an eighth grade student, I wasn’t very cognizant of the world around me.…
Senior Year My greatest memory so far in my eighteen years of being on this earth is without a doubt my senior year of high school. It was absolutely unforgettable. When I was a chubby little freshman with glasses I thought to myself that high school would be one of the longest time periods of my life and that four years would feel like forty years. But man was I wrong, high school went by in the blink of an eye.…
