During my junior year of high school I struggled to meet my academic standards. My junior year turned out to be one of the most challenging times in my life, as I had to encounter a tough class work load, my father had been hospitalized and I myself suffered injuries that required trips to the hospital. All these events accumulated and caused my life to take a dramatic spin. While trying to maintain my academic excellence midway through my first semester of my junior year my father suffered a collapsed lung. This was a very frightening time for me as I worried for my father’s life, I did not know whether he would need a lung replacement or how critical his condition was.
