Junior Year Essay

Junior year. Preparing to give my first speech to the other students in my public speaking class, who were all strangers to me. I wasn’t prepared at all, but I knew it had to be done. I stared down at my outline, reading it over and planning the speech in my head one last time before I had to deliver it to the class. I felt my hands begin to shake and my palms sweat as the teacher called my name to go next. I had never been good at talking in front of people, even if they were people I’d known for a long time.But I knew that it was time to confront my biggest fear and overcome it.
I decided to take public speaking Junior year because I needed to get over my fear of talking in front of people. Of course, it’s easier said than done and I learned
