Not only was I involved with the athletic aspect of school, but I also became very engaged with the National FFA Organization. My sophomore year, I was the Chapter Historian. I became the Chapter Vice President my junior year. Following my third year of high school, I was elected the Chapter President. Having the position came with many responsibilities. One thing I really focused on was bringing the chapter together with activities including: a fashion show, various contests, and a lock-in with games. Another aspect I hit on was recruitment. I organized an assembly for the middle school to briefly show them the National FFA Organization and what the chapter has done and what it can potentially do at local, state, or even national levels. This included multiple summer camps, Schuyler Middle School softball tournaments, and fourth, fifth, and sixth grade basketball games. The Schuyler FFA Chapter helped the 4-H prepare for the county fair. We also set up several blood drives. I was the chairman for two of them. I participated with many road clean ups and bell ringing for the Salvation Army. I helped my teacher grade math worksheets and clean.
