When I was in fourth grade the following year I would have to leave Sing Lum Elementary to attend a new school for two years. The school made everyone in third and fourth grade in my neighborhood leave because they were redesigning the school and didn't have enough room for as many students that attended Sing Lum. So with my best friend, we attended Stockdale elementary. One of the best school years I've had was sixth grade. There were three sixth grade classes and we did everything together; it was more like a family rather than three separate classes. At the end of the year, our teachers started to mention junior high. By the way they described it, it seemed alarming and unnerving. Honestly, I started to become more scared than excited. I started getting anxiety about the little things like whether I have enough time to get from one class to the other or will I have enough time to get my books from my locker. Once I got to junior high it was completely different than what I expected, it wasn't hard or intimidating, it was actually kind of exhilarating. What was most exciting for me was not having to sit in the same class with the same people for six hours straight.
In seventh grade, I was part of a new program the school was trying out, IAcademy.

The videos provided on the IAcademy website were sometimes difficult and were hard to understand. One of the hardest classes of mine was in seventh-grade math. Every week or two weeks we started a new chapter of learning but you worked on your own pace; some kids would be through one subject in a week while for others, it would take them a month or so. Most of the time all to be done was to sit at a desk staring at a computer, watching videos or reading articles.
