It is a disgrace for me to see junior doctors to be treated like this! Being treated like they were nothing. As if they do not contribute anything to this society. Why should they be paid less for saving people’s lives and providing us services 24/7? I am enraged by the fact that junior doctor’s pays will involve pay cuts of up to 30 percent and the slashing of premium rates for doctors working between 7AM to 10PM on every day apart from Sunday.
The truth is that junior doctors are the backbone of the NHS. They work extremely hard just to get to the position of being a junior doctor. Involving pay cuts of up to 30 percent will just mean they have wasted a big part of their life. So if they go on leave then male doctors will be able to progress higher in ranks than them and get paid more than the women on maternity leave.
What the health secretary Jeremy Hunt is proposing, has led to junior doctors going on strike and also putting the patients that need to go to the hospital is at risk without doctors being in hospitals and GPs to help out people then this could lead to a major impact onto people’s lives. By the junior doctors going on strike they have put a lot of patients at risk of getting worse or even death or patients which is horrifying to think of.
They also suggested that junior doctors should be working long hours, even in the evenings and weekends whilst having their pay cut.
