There’s a cynical ridiculousness in the low-key “The Treasure”, the fourth fictional feature from Corneliu Porumboiu, author of “12:08 East of Bucharest” and “Police, Adjective”. I confess I expected more from the Romanian director/screenwriter, especially if we take into account the more valuable cinematic treasures mentioned above. All the features that characterize Mr. Porumboiu’s directorial approach can be found in his new deadpan comedy, which starts in a curious way, becoming overdetailed in its midsection, only to resuscitate in its laughable final part. My big home project was accomplished at Chase High School instead of it being completed at my home. Mrs. Kraus provided me and a fellow student ( Ashlyn Cox) the opportunity to clean the concession stand in the gymnasium so it would be clean for the Prom. We cleansed the concession stand with Oxygen Orange which is an all purpose cleaner and can clean almost anything. Prior to heading to the location we gathered four wash rags and we each had our own bottle of Oxygen Orange. When we arrived to the concession stand it was an absolute mess.…
I think I should be in National Junior Honor Society because I have great leadership skills. I love to help out with kids and make sure they are included in everything. The term Freshman 15 is slang that is used to refer to the weight gain in students who enter colleges and universities. Studies have proven that a student is likely to gain approximately 15 pounds in weight within the first year that they join the institution. Weight gain is a problem that widely affects a significant proportion of the society owing to the diseases that may result because of unusual weight gain. Gaining weight may lead to one increasing his or her body mass index leading to one being overweight or suffering cardiac diseases. Mary Beth Stevens suggests writing supports reading by asking students to draw upon common knowledge and thinking processes (2014). In the Texas Treasures Literature curriculum students continually respond to text through writing activities. At the end of each section they record their responses by writing a personal response. These responses require critical and higher order thinking skills because students answer open-ended questions and utilize summarization, inference and interpreting meaning skills.
