Rumors and distrust among my colleagues are prevalent and these are mostly directed to our boss. If someone would ask my coworkers what kind of employer our boss is, they would describe the owner as temperamental, ungrateful, selfish, and other things that I cannot include on a college-level paper. How serious are these accusations? Well, our boss opened the business three years ago, and among the employees from the first year, only one still remains. This employee works as a part-time bookkeeper for three days a week and admits that he/she cannot and will not work as a full timer because of the stress that our boss gives us. Others either last only for a year or walk out on their very first day and decide not to come back because of the same reason.
The descriptions above of my employer seem more like a managment issues, and not an ethical dilemma. So how does my boss’s actions related to ethical dilemma? Yes, the system works but it definitely needs improvement. However, our employer refuses to listen to others’ opinions because he/she thinks that his/her way works and changing the system would throw off the work balance that we have.
