When people think of the word hero they might picture a superhero or someone with huge muscles and fantastical superpowers. But a hero can also be kind and caring. They should put others before themselves and other peoples’ needs in front of their own. To me, a true hero must be willing to sacrifice their own personal wants and cares in order to help make others happy. A true hero must be able to smile and be happy when others only see trouble and strife.
June Hamersma is an important figure in the city of Grand Rapids. As founder of the Hospice foundation and The January series of Calvin College, June Hamersma has led a busy and productive career. To me though, June Hamersma is not only the founder of two well-known organizations, but a grandmother
