Transiting from high school to college is a frightening process for most people. I can agree. As the days of summer were coming to an end, my level of fear was just starting and increasing rapidly. As soon as I started, the jumpstart program didn’t seem like such a bad thing. I realized it was not as frightening as I thought. I was so glad I decided to participate in jumpstart. It allowed me to feel like even though I was leaving home, it was going to be okay. UNI was going to be, my home away from home.
Since I became part of jumpstart, it has help me tremendously throughout my first year here at UNI. Jumpstart offered me resources that I would not have discovered if I did not attend. Being able to talk to professors and ask questions helped
