Ibn Kathir reported that Friday is called Al-Jumuah because it is derived from
Al-Jam, “literally, ‘gathering’.
“O ye who believe! When the call is heard for the prayer of the day of congregation, haste unto remembrance of Allah and leave your trading. That is better for you if ye did but know.” (62:9)1
Friday is considered very important and more beneficial day for Muslims.
Abu Hurairah(ra) related that the Prophet(Saw) said, “The day which Allah considers the best is the Day of Jumu’ah (Friday), the Day of congregation.”2 Bayhaqi authenticated by Shaikh Albani
Abu Hurairah(ra) related that the Prophet(Saw) said, “The best day on which the sun rises are risen is Friday, on it Adam(as) was created. On it he was made to enter Paradise, on it he was expelled from it. And the last hour will take place on no day other than Friday.”3 Sahih Muslim
Abu Hurairah(ra) reported that he Messenger of Allah(swt), “If anyone performs Wudu properly, then comes to the Friday prayer, listens to the Khutbah (religious talk) attentively and keep silent, his (minor) sons between that Friday and the following Friday will be forgiven, with the addition of three more days, but he who touches pebbles has caused interruption.” 4 Sahih Muslim

It is greater before Allah then the Day of Adha and the Day of Fitr.
