After he was adopted by his uncle, he changed his name to Quintus Servilius Caepio Brutus, but eventually went back to using Marcus Junius Brutus. Brutus was a late Roman Republican and was a senator of Rome. Butus was important to Rome’s history because he was a senator of the Roman Empire and was Julius Caesar's assassin.
