Although Portia and Calphurnia are two different woman, they are quite similar to one another. Portia is married to Brutus, and displays her loyalness often to him. She even gave herself “a voluntary wound/ Here, in the thigh” (2.1. 323-324). She cherishes her relationship with her husband and believes that no marriage should hold lies. She shows her sense of strength, intelligence, and determination when she uses Brutus’ emotions against him so that he will tell her his secrets. “By all your vows of love, and that great vow/ Which did incorporate and make us one” (2.1. 293-294). Portia uses her love for Brutus in order for him to tell her his plan of killing Caesar. Similarly to Portia, Calphurnia shows her fear and concern for her husband
