What is a tragic hero? The definition of a tragic hero is a literary character who makes a judgement error that leads to their own destruction. In the play, Julius Caesar, there are many characters that could be argued as a tragic hero, but only one stands out to me, Brutus. Brutus is a very loving man and truly cares about the good of Rome, but trusts too easily and lets his desire for more takeover. In Julius Caesar, Brutus is the tragic hero.
