Having overheard that Zeus kept his thunderbolt beneath his throne, Julius had a plan. If he could fly a Pegasus up to Mount Olympus (he lived only five miles away from a Pegasi stable), Julius was sure he could steal the thunderbolt. When he waved goodbye to Zoë she was extremely concerned about him. "Are you sure that this is a good idea? I don't think you should fool around with immortals," Zoë cautioned, remembering experiences where deity and human interactions had gone awry. "Don't worry Zoë, you overthink things. Imagine, I will have unrivaled riches and power." Finally, Julius convinced Zoë, who for all her initial distress was soon persuaded and sent him off. Then, Julius was on his way. The wind howled and time seemed to drag on but he reached the stables. Julius snuck in and got on something he'd only dreamed about before: a Pegasus. Its majestic wings were bright white, its hooves were impeccably polished, and its hair was uniform. At once, a Pegasus caretaker old as time itself called out to him, "Young man, don't fly away using your heart to guide you and not your brains, for actions have consequences. I was once like you and did not believe I could be stopped." But Julius ignored the caretaker, thinking him silly and flew off. As Julius looked back, he was watched with sad
