Juliet Schor And Mihaly: Does Money Buy Happiness?

Both writers have a decent clarification on how humans make themselves happy with just significant equipment. Juliet Schor, in “The Creation

That said, having enough in the bank to not have to worry and stress about paying bills and basic expenses will go a long way in terms of reducing anxiety and allowing time to find a true source of happiness.…

When it comes to money, happiness is temporary because money will eventually end if no effort to save is involved. The continuous accumulation of “stuff” can and will quickly drain all funds from checking, savings, and credit card accounts. Ramsey and Ramsey stated that “stuffitis is a deadly disease where the bearer has an insatiable desire for only good stuff.” This is also a point where items such as clothing, vehicles, jewelry, housing, furniture, etc. are all top of the market type of things that are gained at any means necessary. Continuing on, the desire to have more stuff is not actually benefiting the person making the purchases, but the business or organization receiving the funds.…

There are many arguments whether money can buy happiness or not. However, along our lives, we will find that money and happiness have a relationship in certain aspects in our lives such as education, work, and success. As stated by Gretchen Rubin, I believe that money can bring happiness only if spent wisely on important factors in our lives such as family or health. I also believe that our happiness is in direct correlation between our attainments and our aspirations as stated by Diener and Biswas-Diener. The purest happiness comes from a sense of accomplishment. If any problem can be solved just by spending money or simply buying something, that problem should not be a problem. After all, there are many problems that cannot be perfectly solved by the money. For example, or can people pay the teacher a hundred million dollar and ask the teacher to make a promise for the student gets hundred in the final exam? I do not think any teacher is able to make this kind of promise even the most well-known and professional teacher.…

Also because someone could have money, but could also have a mental illness. For example, if a famous person is going through some metal problems and is not happy, but they still have money which is not making things better.
