Once upon a time, there were two neighbors with close families and they had a great relationship they fell in love and lived happily ever after……… this is not that story. In William Shakespeare's The Tragedy of Romeo & Juliet, it shows that Romeo and Juliet are not in love because they get married the day after they meet, they experience lust at first sight, and they are too immature.

In Act II Scene II of Romeo and Juliet they say: “Thy purpose marriage, send me word tomorrow/ By one that I'll procure to come to thee,/ Where and what time thou wilt perform the rite,/ And all my fortunes at thy foot I'll lay,/ And follow thee, my lord, throughout the world.”(2,2,144-48). This quote shows that they are planning a wedding the next day after they meet which is a really quick, unlike most couples who wait the 2-3 years to get engaged even. This quote shows that Romeo killed himself over Juliet this shows that Romeo is very immature because he killed himself instead of getting over Juliet after awhile. This shows that Romeo did not care about the people that he would be hurting when he committed suicide all he cared about was himself. “Yea, noise? Then I'll be brief. O happy dagger,/ This is thy sheath; their rust, and let me die.” (5.3.169-170). This quote shows that Juliet killed herself over Romeo but said goodbye to Friar Laurence. This shows that Juliet is immature for the same reasons as Romeo.
