Julian Opie’s style that we can see in his portraits for example is a very simplistic thick black lines to outline the face and clothing of the subject, the eyes and nostrils are simply black dots where they would normally be and yet the portrait is recognizable as the person it is portraying, another thing about his style is the flat colour that is used in his portraits
