1. What is the significance of the title of this book?
The title of this book is “Eagle Strike” and it is significant because it is the name of the operation Damian Cray is trying to succeed. He has a device that will allow him to obtain the U.S. launch codes for their nuclear weapons. Using the weapons, he will bomb selected places to try to end drug production, even if it means killing millions of people.
2. From what point of view is the story told? How does this impact the characterization?
This story is told in third person point of view and focuses on Alex’s actions, thoughts, and feelings. This impacts characterization because we see as if we were following Alex and we also know his thoughts and feelings. This lets us relate to the character

This theme actually relates to many different parts of this story. The public assumes that Damian Cray is an amazing person because of his singing, all the money he has donated to charity, his fight against drugs, and him trying to save the environment. However, Alex figures out Cray’s plan to wipe out drug production by stealing the U.S. launch codes and targeting specific places with the nuclear weapons, even if it means millions of lives will be lost in the process. Another way that this theme fits, is the reason why Alex is so successful of a spy for MI6. Because of his age, many people do not assume that he is a spy and he tends to be able to infiltrate or get away with things that an adult would not necessarily be able to do, or at least not as …show more content…
Growing up in London, his parents were killed by a supposed “accident” and his uncle trained him until he also died. Alex realizes that his parents and uncle were MI6 agents and that his uncle had been training him to be one as well. His primary conflict is Damian Cray, an extremely wealthy singer who has donated millions to charity. However, Alex learns of Cray when he sends an assassin to kill Alex’s friend’s dad, Mr. Pleasure.
