Parents send their children to school five out of seven days in a week and one-hundred eighty days a year for twelve consistent years. This creates a chance for many high school students to attain the basic education before entering the workforce or continuing to higher education such as university colleges. Although students spend four years preparing for college in high school, students only learn the basic knowledge they need to succeed in college. Also, high school teachers are too lenient with assignments by letting students turn in late assignments while receiving full credit. High school does not properly prepare students for college because students lack decision-making skills, effective studying skills, and responsibility that many undergraduates must have to become successful in college.…

I am a sample size of 20 in every 100 Americans who go through the monster I experience, and am trying to overcome everyday (Psychology Today). 20% seems to be a low number considering it has been around since the Egyptian time period (Konnikova). This monster I call is a race against the clock, a ticking time bomb that adds extra pressure that is not necessary. As we speak I am typing this paper at the last minute racing to get it in to turnitin.com by midnight.…

As a student who has their homework done, the student could encourage the student to do their own homework the next time and offer to hold the other person accountable to getting their homework done so there is motivation for the student who didn’t do their homework to have their homework done on time. The student who gets their homework done on time could also offer to help the student who didn’t get their homework done on time build a schedule that sets up a specific time for studying and doing homework in their own time so the student who doesn’t have their homework done can have a specific time previously allotted to do their own homework. If either of those previous options are offered to the student who doesn’t get their homework done on time the student would probably feel less overwhelmed by their homework and do their homework on time. If the student who doesn’t have their homework on time doesn’t feel overwhelmed by their homework they are going to be more likely to do their own homework so there is not going to even be a need for the student who doesn’t have their homework done to copy off of the student who has their homework done in the first place. The student who doesn’t have their homework done on time might not be doing their homework during the time allotted for them to complete their homework…

Staying in comfort zone The deadpan routine of being lazy and unproductive, we tend to put off our work for various reasons, one of them being too comfortable in our adapted time wasting rituals such as watching television, playing video games, hanging out with friends, etc. Moreover, being spoon-fed by teachers in previous stages of schools, during early-school years teachers come to students to ask them to handover their assignments and not the other way around, which ultimately imbues an ideology to a student’s mind that it is not too late until the teachers ask for the assignment.…
