Numerous researches have aimed to discover the root of this homework dilemma. According to Julia Thompson, there are many reasons as to why a student may not turn their homework in on time. She claims that many reasons that students do not turn in their homework is that students may not record the assignment when it is first given to them, the student many not see the homework as important as homework in another class so they do not focus on it, or that a student may be capable of the assignment but just not get around to it.
