Julia Should Never Take Life For Granted

“Live every moment, love every day, because before you know it, precious time slips away.”- Anonymous

On the day of April 15th, 2014, a precious little girl by the name of Julia Norris passed away and was accepted into Heaven. Julia was the sister of my great friend Jordan. She passed due to a diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma brain tumor. This doleful event caused me to put my life into a new perspective. The laws of life that I now follow as of a result of this tragedy are, don't take life for granted, live life in the moment, and that God has a plan for everyone.

One night, Julia went to sleep, just as I do every night. The only difference is, when her parents tried to wake her up, they found her in a state that she and they would never recover from. As this shows, I should never take life for granted because before I know it, everything could change. It could be in the blink of an eye, or one night of sleep, but just like that, my world could get flipped upside down. I always say, “I’ll do that tomorrow” or “We can finish that later,”

We may not understand now or even ever why some events take place, but God knows that it is in his plan for it to happen that way. In my life, I am still going to make the correct choices and do the right thing, but I now understand that God is in control of my life. Julia’s death was a tragic event for many people, but God knows that it has been just a minuscule step in his larger plan.
In conclusion, Julia’s death brought much sorrow into my life as well as many others, but it also brought much more thought in my life. This traumatic event caused me to think about and continue to put into action my three laws of life. I have learned countless lessons from a numerous amount of events, but this one has and will continue to impact me the most. Not only did Julia’s passing change the Norris’s life forever, but mine as

Give examples of how the practice of ministry has affected your experience and understanding of A) God At the core of my understanding of God is a God of love in covenantal relationship with God’s children. Romans 8:38-39 says it well; “For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” The practice of ministry has only proven to strengthen that belief. I was called early Saturday morning to sit with a family who had just learned of the death of their daughter/granddaughter in a vehicle accident.…

Hopeless Humanity An Analysis of a Colin Wilson Quote Colin Wilson was once quoted as saying, "The average man is a conformist, accepting miseries and disasters with the stoicism of a cow standing in the rain. " While this quote can be interpreted many different ways, like most quotes, I think that Wilson is trying to say humans sometimes lose hope and let whatever happens happen to them. Most of the time this Wilson quote rings surprisingly true when you examine the average life of a normal human being. In some cases, we see individuals with an abundance of perseverance and determination that will stop at nothing to get what they believe they deserve.…

Jumbled up Julia 1984, by George Orwell, is a novel about a dystopian society in which people mysteriously disappear and never come back. The few people that do reappear within society return as brainwashed shells of themselves. One of the main characters, Julia, falls in love with a peculiar man named Winston who works in the ministry of truth where they “correct” facts from articles published in the past and present. The party, an organization that dehumanizes the population and controls their thoughts/actions to keep itself in power, runs this of course. Eventually he realizes that he cannot trust the party.…
