Judy Blume is a well-known author with more than 85 million copies in 32 languages. She is recognized for being for being a children's author but also has some books for teens and young adults. Judy s also a big part of the National Coalition Against Censorship.

Growing up Judy had no interest in becoming a writer. Even though she loved reading, she had no idea she would become a world-famous writer. However, as a child, Blume loved to make up stories. She had many character ideas and stories in her head but never told anybody. When Judy’s children went to preschool, she decided it was time to get her stories onto paper. Blume began her writing career.
