Placed among one of the “100 Most Trusted Americans” according to a 2013 Reader’s Digest Survey, Judy Sheindlin, better known as Judge Judy, brought a fresh face and hard-hitting courtroom tactics to the court show genre with the premiere of Judge Judy in 1996. Today, Judge Judy is still going strong — 10 million viewers tune in daily to her syndicated show, and she’s not slowing down any time soon. (In 2013, she extended her Judge Judy contract through 2017.)

In addition to her television success, Judge Sheindlin is also an accomplished author, having penned three books: the straight-talking Don't Pee On My Leg, and Tell Me It's Raining, the New York Times best seller Beauty Fades, Dumb is Forever: The Making of a Happy Woman, and a parenting
