Origins:
Judaism is a strong religion that was created in 2000 B.C in canaan (palestine today). It was established between god and Abraham during the bronze age in the Middle East. The jews follow specific laws that are written in the torah, The torah was given by moses around 1250 B.C. Abraham is also considered as the father of the jews, they follow his orders and obey to him all the time. The jews consider palestine as their holy land that was given by god, They invaded palestine and followed the orders given by god in the torah which stated that the land is their holy place. The primary figures of israelite culture are Abraham, Jacob, Isaac and the prophet Moses. The jews also have other sacred texts that they read and follow …show more content…
Two: to treat each other with love and dignity. Three: to worship god and the torah. Jews believe that all text written by the prophets is true, including the writings of Moses, who they regard as the greatest of the prophets.
The Jews pray three time a day, In the morning, the afternoon and after the sunset. Jews hold religious services at synagogues led by a knowledgeable member of the congregation.
Today: Today Judaism is divided into 4 different religious movements, a small percentage of jews are extremist (Very religious). A far larger percentage of Jews identify themselves as Jewish though they belong to no movement, They practice their religion from time to time. And some jews like to stay hidden, they don't want anyone to know what religion they are practicing and the last religious movement are the jews who center their identity Zionism, Zionism grew after world war 2, it became a popular thing for jews.
