Juan Pablo's The Bachelor

Improved Essays
It is true that Juan Pablo’s stint on the eighteenth season of “The Bachelor” did not go well with the larger part of the audience.
According to reports, his remarks on gays as being perverts and not proposing to Nikki Ferrell and later starting a relationship did make him unpopular. But the soccer player stole hearts and also made history as the first man from the ethnic minority to star on the show.
And if rumors are to be believed the hot Latino hunk could come up as a contender on the current season of “The Bachelorette” to vie for JoJo Fletcher’s attention, a 25-year-old real estate developer. As for her, she is already having a good company of bachelors, that includes great soccer star like Jordan Rodgers.
But Pablo is somewhat different.

Since the emergence of such characters the representation of members of the LGBTQ+ community has increased and broadened, which is especially evident when comparing the “Men on Film” sketch from the pilot of FOX’s In Living Color in 1990, and ABCs How to Get Away with Murder (2014-present). The depictions of LGBTQ+ characters in these programs represent the evolution and synthesis of audience targeting in increasingly competitive industrial environments and in the increasingly tolerant sociopolitical…

There 's a token black guy who either acts like he is from what people have deemed the ghetto or he is soulful and acts like he’s from the south. There 's sometimes a token gay character that is always portrayed as a flamboyant white male with a high pitched voice and a love for fashion.
