My analysis of the syllabus allowed me to get information about what would be expected throughout the JTC 300 level course. The syllabus allowed me to view the number of modules, points, and due dates that I must keep in mind while going through course material. I know I will be able to look back at the thorough explanations provided on many occasions to ensure proper work. Seven learning objectives will be applied to the course, yet I hope to learn even more than these. First, is the ability to understand a variety of diverse concepts, such as race and sexual orientation. Second, relates to our global society and how diversity changes throughout it: relating to people and their cultures. Third, being able to think in a critical manner that allows for creativity and independence must be …show more content…
The final project, due on July 7th, is worth 150 points. Within the final project, there is a project proposal, rough draft, peer review, and oral presentation. These all consists of their separate points that help to and accompany the completed project. Also, there is a instructional manual, due on June 11th, that is worth 50 points. Making sure to diligently work on these projects, along with other assignments throughout the 15 modules, will be my biggest percentage increase if done correctly. The 15 modules throughout the course are separated into two modules in seven of the eight weeks, and one module for the last week. Each of the modules has a discussion, reading, lecture, and, in most, an assignment or exam. The writing assignments should be submitted as a word document and uploaded to canvas. The modules for the week are released right after the previous modules are due, which are Sunday nights at midnight. It is important to stay on top of the modules, and remember that there is more than one module in a week, so don’t stop when one is

Disappointments Since I started the ACCG950 course, there are not many disappointed points. I would say that my disappointment relates to the location of our classroom and the attendant of students. Firstly, I acknowledge that the classroom was changed because the room is too small for all students. With your concerns, the new room is big enough for all students; however, the number of students attending the lecture has been low.…

The event I decided to attend was the presentation “Dreamers after DACA” by Maria Belen Sisa. The main reason I decided to attend this presentation was mainly due to the fact that the DACA situation is something I am actively involved in and hearing stories of individuals under this program gives me insight as to what is currently happening to them after the program was ended. Sisa also discussed ways to get involved and take action to demand a clean Dream Act which was another factor as to why I attended. This event relates to the course’s theme because it discussed the issue of ethnicity and ethnic groups in education and employment.…

The Australian Curriculum is futures oriented. The overarching objective is to equip students with 21st century skills and a quest for lifelong learning (Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority, 2012, pp. 4, 5, 28). This semester I took a class that was new to me. I knew absolutely nothing about journalism coming into MMC2100. The most valuable assignments were the AP practices. Although I was frustrated because I bought the online access to the www.apstylebook.com which ended up not having page numbers for some assignments. In the end, the constant use of AP style helped make it come more natural for some bigger projects further along in the semester.…

Beginning teachers can encounter a variety of situations within the classroom in relation to a child with a disability or additional needs. These recommendations give three possible scenarios for the emergent teacher. Child A has been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) with anxiety as his main challenge. His mother expresses that she would like the school to take a proactive holistic approach. To facilitate this the teacher would focus on developing his self-management skills and being able to identify and communicate his emotions (Exemplars, 2016, p. 5).…

I believe this course was very effective for students as it reflects the purpose of every assignment. Every assignment not only helped me to gain knowledge about different topics but also help me understand their meaning and how they reflect in our life. Ex. There I found emotion is very muchly involved in our daily learning and it either builds our motivation to learn or could also discourage us to learn.…
