Service to Others Empathy is the ability to share and understand the feelings of another human being. Sympathy is the feeling of pity or sorrow on another’s misfortune. These two feelings right here is what drives people to help those in need. Jrotc has the ability to find these two tantamount emotions and can mold them together to help people. One of the biggest thing they can teach is how to service others and we are taught this through many lessons. One of the lessons we learn is community involvement. This lesson is more of a hands on experience and it allows us to actually get to know the community. The most recent community involvement was the Veterans Day parade.
